TIF. Files

can we import tif. files in vegas i tried but i keep getting an error reading
warning:an error occurred while opening one or more files
the file format plugin for the specified formated was not properly initialized
can someone help me with this?

why tiff when you can use photoshop pix. it'll also recognize the transparency or alpha channel so you don't have to key that stuff out.

Tiff requires Quicktime. You must install ALL of quicktime - especially the authoring components. Vegas 5 requires Quicktime 6 or newer.

PNG is the preferred format in Vegas. It has alpha, is lossless and is handled natively (=fast).

png is not lossless and doesnt look as good as other image formats blown up -- loses/changes color info also ...

i really do not like png ....
