Time Code ?

I am using a Sony DSR PD150 DV camera and will edit on VV.. The ? is how to get NTSC Time Code into the computer along with video & sound (mono audio) for editing, and will the numbers show up as a window on the time line or else where (trimmer) and will, after editing, all scenes print to an EDL list?
The audio card is an SB Live Drive Platinum...
Thanks much for the help...

Does the Sony DV have a Timecode output? If it does then you need to plug the Timecode out into a Midi interface that has a Timecode input, which then converts to Midi Timecode. I've never worked with the Sony DV cam, but this is the basic principle of how Timecode works. Timecode is recorded onto a seperate track, just the same as an audio track. Your particular camera would have to have this feature to be able to do this then. If your camera does not have this ability, people will usually record 1 track of audio and record Time code onto the other audio track. Then you take the audio output with the Timecode and plug that into the Timecode/smpte Input of your midi interface. This would work in your case, because you're only using mono audio.
