I ran into a problem like that once and the answer was that there is a limit on how many files you can add (have open?). I think it was an OS limitation. The solution was to render a portion of the project that was complete, creating one file from many. Then you can add more. There is also a 4G limitation on a rendered file. - John

Hmmmm. I've added thousands of clips & stills to projects that were
well over an hour long.

What happens when you hit that 5 minute limit? Is there some message
box that pops up telling you that you can't add more? Is it just that the
timeline is full to the right edge of the screen and you can't scroll over
any farther? If it's this second thing, you can always tell VF to add another
clip to the end of your project, even if you can't get your cursor over to
that part of the timeline. Click the "go to end" button, which looks sort of
like this: [>|] Your cursor will now be at the end of the last event on
your timeline. Double-click a clip, still, sound file, etc. in Explorer and it
will be added after the cursor. You will now be able to scroll farther to the
right.

Hmm, problem no longer exists. I think it may have to do with registration? I had open program, registered it, then started using it. Tonight when I opened it, problem was gone. But thanks for the tips.
