In the MEDIA POOL you can assign the TIMECODE effect.

This gives you a VISUAL TIMECODE for each frame that the client can reference. Then you edit that based on their numbers and remove the TIMECODE effect when you are done.

Thanks Dave T2... but what if you don't use the Media Manager. I never really found it easier to use than just using Project Media.

I have Version 4 so I don't have Media Manager.

I am referring to the Media Pool area where you import the media for your project (and you get the thumbnails).

Put the Timecode plug-in on the footage in the Media Pool (not Manager) and the SOURCE timecode will be on the footage in the timeline. Adding TC in the timeline only gives you the timeline code.
