Time Stretching...

Hi,

I am messing around with time stretch in vegas (ctrl+drag). And set it to the settings like I would use in soundforge, but the quality is not near what soundforge's timestretch is... :( Why is this? I can't use soundforge cause I have multiple tracks lined up and stretched for the final output, if that makes sense. Any solution to this? Is there a better program to use? Thanks everyone..

You could export each track to SoundForge to be stretched one at a time, then import them back into Vegas. The two programs work together very nicely.

Waves Transform Bundle.
The SoundShifter P plugin is the best I've heard to date!
You enter the Source tempo and the Destination tempo and its crystal clear
Its not for use on a buss but off line like SF or Apply Non-Real-Time fx.
I've used it in Acid 4, Vegas 4,CDA5, Sound Forge 6 and Pro-Tools.
Check out the demo at www.waves.com

Down side? its NOT cheap!

Hey George - this Transform bundle looks very interesting and I've been looking for a decent DX timestretch plugin for ages. BUT, from the Waves site it looks to me as though the bundle isn't available for Direct X. Is this true? It says DAE only - that's Pro Tools isn't it?!?

Thanks

On the web site it says that Version 2.0 is Direct X compatible.

The DX and VST version is out
You need to get version 2.0

One more thing...........
You HAVE to check out the TransX Multi plugin in the Transform Bundle.
It adds Hi Definition detail to your mixes.
This is one of my favorite Waves plugins!!!
The TransX Wide is cool too for Guitars, Snares and Vocals
