Timecode and Vegas Pro 14 Playhead problem

I am trying to trigger the playback of the project (video) in Vegas Pro 14 with Timecode coming from another computer. Specifically the Logic Pro X (Mac) software sends the Timecode to Vegas Pro 14 (PC) via iConnectivity mio2 MIDI interface. When I click "Play" in Logic Pro X the Time clock in Vegas Pro is going forward but the Playhead stays at the beginning of the video file and is not moving. It looks like the both Timecode clocks in Logic and Vegas Pro 14 are synchronized perfectly , but the Playhead in Vegas Pro stays "frozen" at the beginning of the Timeline. Any suggestions what could be wrong? Why the Playhead in Vegas Pro is not starting progressing forward on the Timeline when the whole project has already started playing which is manifested by the running Time clock? That is really unusual as far as I am concerned. It looks like the project is playing but the playhead is not recognizing the commend to play the particular video file that is on the Timeline. On the other hand when I start playing the project file in Vegas by clicking on the "Play" button (or spacebar) in the Vegas Timeline area, the project plays perfectly fine. Any thoughts? What am I missing? Thanks in advance for your help.

This may not help much. I have not done this, but my guess would be that the timeline has to start at the same timecode as the incoming signal.

Yes, both Logic Pro X and vegas Pro start with 00:00:00. Many thanks for trying to help. Yes, I have seen that web page you have submitted the link for. So far I am still in the dark....

If possible I would do it with the Vegas being the timecode source and Logic following. It is normal to have audio follow video rather than the other way around.

Thanks ryclark. Yep, I am contemplating about that. Will try to implement the "switch" tonight, or tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestion.

Well, I have tried everything that I know of and nothing works. I even tried to "MIDI Learn" transport control within Generic Control Surface that Vegas 'External Automation" tab in Options offers. I have never encountered anything like this in my music career (25 years). The Magix tech support is basically nonexistent. Too bad.

OK. Found the solution to the problem described earlier. In order for Logic Pro X and Vegas pro 14 to work together they need to have their SMPTE clocks set up identically. Logic Pro X' clock is set up for 01:00:00:00, and Vegas Pro 14 clock also starts at 01:00:00:00. In Vegas make sure that the playhead is at the beginning of the timeline, and then right click on the timeline ruler and choose "Set Clock ..". Manually set the clock to 01:00:00:00. Check that the "Options" Timecode feature is set to "Trigger from the MIDI Timecode". Push "play" in Logic Pro X and the Vegas playhead will follow the Timecode.

There is one thing though that I still cannot figure out. The Logic Pro X project starts at 01:00:00:00. At that time the ruler in Vegas automatically jumps into 01:00:01:07, stops for a brief moment, and then continues playback along with the Timecode coming from Logic. How do you set up these two applications so both of them start the playback together at 01:00:00:00, instead Logic starts at 01:00:00:00 and Vegas at 01:00:01:07?
