TIMECODE BURN...

in a normal project, i.e. 150 clips, several layers and fx etc and i want to do a TIMECODE burn to tape, direct from the project, what is the best way ?

if i drag the TC plugin FX it will only 'attach' itself to 1 clip, the only other way is to export the whole timeline to one file - pull in line with the other clips and then attach the TC pluging to this - just seems to be a bit long winded to me.

what are you guys doing to get timecode burns to tape ??

we use this feature quite a lot for when sending 1st edits to clients - they can then tell us what parts of the edit are ok, what needs to be moved etc - with exact TC references.

GLEN.

To get the TC window on all elements you might try dropping the TC FX on the preview window. Any FX placed there will apply to the entire output of Vegas, not just a track.

To specify a starting time you need to position the starting event at the specified time from the head, regardless of the ruler time. (ie. start the ruler at oo:oo place the first event at 01:00:00:00)

FYI, clicking the bypass FX button in the preview pane bypasses ALL project FX, not just the output FX...
