Timecode Burn in VMS-Plat 6.0?

Opinions, please, on the best way to add a TIMECODE BURN to a movie (for proofing with other parties).

Should I just insert an EMPTY EVENT on the uppermost track and apply one of the Timecode Event FX?

That seems to work. However, I can imagine running into a problem with this approach if I've used all available video tracks (for titles, image overlays, etc.).

TIA,
JeffD

If you do run out of tracks you can render your complete movie to a DV .avi file without it, then start a new project, add the timecode effect during a second render.

Dunno if you can do this in Vegas Studio, but if you can add an effect to the master output that would take care of it without needing another track. Look for an effects button over the preview window. If you see one, add the timecode effect there.

That DOES it. Excellent.

Thanks much, Chienworks!
