timecode in thumbnails?

In 8.1, there is timecode displayed (black in white box) in each thumbnail on the timeline; the same project opened in 8.0c doesn't show that.

I don't remember changing any setting related to this; is it a new feature?

Forgive me; I must be very tired:)

It must be an 8.1 feature as I don't see this on 8.0c, even when I have TC display enabled.

It's in any Vegas version. It is a setting in the Preferences - Video tab. I don't have an english version available right now - I think it must be something like "Show Source Frame Numbers on Events as" (it in the upper section of the window). And in a pulldown-menu you can select "Timecode" there.
