timecode problem during print to tape

Hello,
When Vegas captures files, it captures the timecode on the source decks. When I finish my editing and print to tape, the material prints the original timecode of the media... Which results in a DVCAM tape with discontinuous timecode.
How can I print to tape with project timecode and not with the source media timecode? I couldn't figure out what the user manual says on this matter

regards,
piper

Render a new file, Then print to tape rather than just printing to tape.

If you are going out to a DVCAM deck use the "make TC" function on the deck- I do this all the time.

thanks for the reply
This is not the same as striping a tape prior to print no? Is this a function that overrides the TC coming from the PC and creates its own timecode on the fly? does it matter if the deck is on assemble or insert mode?

Make tc means the deck starts writing timecode at a user specified value starting on the first frame of video it records.

This is cool if you need your program TC to start at exactly 01:00:00:00 as an example (you'll of course want to subtract your bars/tone/slate/pre-black duration from the show start TC value).
