Timecode stamp in audio files

Does anyone know of a way to stamp tc to .wav files? I am working on a large multitrack project that is audio only. I have gotten spoiled with V6 feature of synchronize when you accidentally drag an event. My question is can tc be added to the multitrack .wav's? I can not find a way to do it in vegas.

What you want is a feature called Broadcast Wave Format (BWF).
The Vegas 6 manual briefly goes into it on p. 52.
Check the following threads for more info:

edit: the files have to be recorded in BWF format at the time of recording.
Vegas can't add the meatdata after the fact.
