Timecode Window Burn?

corug7 wrote on 7/14/2008, 8:58 PM
I don't seem to be able to create timecode window burns of footage as ingested from the tape, only as it is layed out on the timeline. Is there a way in Vegas to create a TWB using the timecode embedded in the AVI from the tape, or must I use another program? If so, what are others using?

As always, a big thanks.

Corey

You have to apply the Time Code FX to the clips in Project Media, then it will pick up the original camera time code.

Tools - Scripting and you'll find two scripts: One to add, and one to remove the timecode FX to all clips in the Project Media. This will do what you're looking for.

I think Sony have / will have a HDV deck with HD SDI and 9 pin control. That'd give you batch capture. All you need then is a HD SDI card.

Thank you Mr. Troxel. That did the trick. I can't seem to be able to do this on an individual clip basis, but this will definately work for now.
