timecode window dub

Anybody know how to make a TC window dub with VV3? I need to send a DVD of a project out for transcription and they (obviously) require a TC window dub (a TC window runs in the foreground with time code so the person who does the transcript can make reference to where the speaker's words go). Seems pretty obvious, but I cannot find it in the manual and a search here hasn't turned up anything. I would hate to have to record to VHS through a pro deck just to do something so simple and suspect I am just too stupid to find how to do this in VV3. Thanks in advance.

Just drop the T/C filter on the project preview window, resize and locate it in the dialog box.

Hi John,

You might try placing the clip into a timeline with a DFTC ruler, and select "Display frame numbers as source TC" in the prefs>video....

Then, position the clip in the TL, so the first frame of the clip matches the framenumber in the TL. Then you can drop the DFTC FX on the track.

Render as usual, or PTT.

There is a track FX for Timecode. Just add it to your top layer as you would any other track FX. Pretty easy.
