Timelapse with Pan/Zoom

Hi everyone,

Hopefully, just a simple question.......

I've been using MS Platinum 12 to create a Timelapse movie but for a new clip for the movie I'm adding a subtle zoom to the footage.

Usually, the images I import are 1920x1080 to match my 1080HD render.

However, as I'm looking to use Pan/Zoom if I import larger files (3840x2160 for example) is MS clever enough to retain good resolution from the larger images when zoomed in or does it convert all images to match the project settings on import?

Thanks in advance!

Pan/Crop retains the original resolution while performing the transforms, then resamples to match the output resolution as the last step. So yes, this is what you're after.

Track Motion resamples to project resolution first, then performs the transforms, then resamples to the output resolution. So if you used Track Motion you'd end up with poorer quality.

Perfect, thanks for the clarification!
