I am using Vegas Pro 16.0.424. When I try to move the white thing, I see the cursor turn into two left and right arrows. Whenever I drag it across a clip, the sound plays. How do I change it so when I move the white thing, the cursor is just a big white arrow facing up and the sound does not play?

Put your cursor over the line rather than the white thing.

@Rodchill-Paul-Jules - If you still wish to drag the Playhead, hold down Ctrl+Alt and Drag
