Timeline

Well here I am again with another question.
I am using VMS HD Platinum 10. I am working with text and music, I want to sync my music with the text so when the drum beats the text will be at a specific spot. But when I try to move the text with the cursor on the text box it moves to far. example: when I move the text box it will move from .10 to .20 and so on, I want to be able to move the text box from .01 to .02 or .03. I have the video placed where I want it so that matches to the music, so I don't want to move the music or video.
Is there a way of doing this?
Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Lots of ways of doing this. The simplest thing is to zoom in farther on the timeline so that the "frames" are wider and you have more delicate control over where you can move the events.

However, what i usually do is put the cursor where i want the event to be first. You can use Alt-Left & Alt-Right arrow keys to move it in exactly one-frame increments no matter how far in or out the zoom is. Then you can drag the event to the cursor and it will snap to that position.

With "Quantize to frames" turned on, you are constrained to 1-frame increments, which is right for video.

For audio, temporarily turn QTF off, Ignore event grouping if necessary, being careful not to nudge any video tracks, and by zooming in using the up arrow you can get fine precision cuts and sync.

Remember to turn QTF back on, and you can lock your audio events so they don't accidentally snap back to a frame boundary.
