Timeline audio sync

When doing a playback on the timeline, I'm seeing the audio drift out of sync over time, say after about 30 seconds. If I stop and restart the playback, its back in sync only to drift out again.

The video and audio are in fact in sync and do render out correctly. Its just the timeline playback (Also seen in trimmer playback as well) that drifts.

Anyone else have this occurance? It it not occur in Vegas 4, but only began after the upgrade to 6.

I answered a similar post about two months ago. Read the post and then my answer at the end of the thread. See if it sounds similar. If so, perhaps my answer will help:

Audio/Video Sync Problems

[Edit] Actually, after re-reading your post, you say it renders OK, but only shows the problem during preview. I posted about my own preview issues today that involve slowdowns so, since I am unable to help myself, I guess I can't help you on this one. Sorry.

Are you using ASIO drivers?

I find timeline playback maintains sync much better using WDM "Windows Classic" sound drivers.
