Timeline not importing mp3 files correctly.

Just wanted to know if anyone knows why I can't import mp3 files into the project media correctly. I can import them, but when I drop them into the timeline, they don't have any kind of sound in them at all. Am I missing a decoder or a setting that I haven't had to work with before? Help.

Is there is a mp3plug2 folder containing a mp3plug2.dll file in the "C:\Program Files> VEGAS> FileIO Plug-Ins" folder. If not, you can copy/paste from another app (like Sound Forge) or an older version of VP)

You could try resetting VP or reinstalling. If you reinstall. the PC must be online.

A post in this link from jonathan-harrison was the answer. I cleaned out the cashe folder that he posted and problem was taken care of. I just wonder what caused it in the first place. A windows update maybe?? I hate no loath windows updates. They almost always mess up my recording settings and normally have to research and fix the issues afterward.
