Can you tell us which model of camcorder this video came from? (Video from still cameras often use an MJPEG codec and can offer cause these kinds of problems.)

Which settings did you select when you set up your Vegas Movie Studio HD project?

Have you got the latest version of Quicktime and have you gone to the ATI or nVidia sites and ensured you have the latest firmware for your video card?

I use a sony DSR 250. The video plays in the sort trimmer screen. Also, when i put the video on the timeline, left click on the video and simulate moving it. The video show up. When I release, it disapears.

This is a professional camcorder that shoots in DVCAM format.

You can't work with this video on a consumer-level program.

You'll need to use Vegas Pro or some other prosumer and professional editor with it. Sorry.

Not necessarily.
AFAIK every Sony DVCAM is capable of shooting and exporting vanilla DV-AVI (DV25).
The only limitation is you can't print DVCAM to tape in Vegas.

I think it's another problem with the trimmer or split screen buttons or timeline preview setting.
