Timing: Maybe an Easy Answer

Hey folks,

I'm creating an animation at 24 FPS and so I've rendered out a sequence of 24 still images in a 3D package (Lightwave 3D exactly). I'm using still images because the result is better than an AVI or something else as a direct import into Vegas.

Anyhow, I want each image to equal 1 frame, in other words, 1/24th of a second. All 24 images should take one second to play at 24 FPS.

However, each image taked 5 to 10 seconds to play.

How can I (using Vegas 5.0) compress this group of 24 images into 24 FPS?

Thanks!

After you've selected all 24 images, click the "open still image sequence" option (bottom left). As long as they're numbered sequentially (and Lightwave will), it'll now open up as a 1 sec. sequence.

This must be done from the File / Open window rather than the explorer or project media widows. It's also only necessary to select the first image.

Well, um, no. It's File | Import | Media

Then select the first file and check the box at the bottom of the dialog.

GenDerJan, it's in BOTH places. Importing a still image sequence works if you go to File - Import Media or File - Open. Either way, you just pick the first file and check the "image sequence" box.
