"TinkerBell Effect"-BT Maybe?

I am looking to do the Tinkerbell effect and trying to make it easy on me. I really don't want to waste much time on this project (family Friends).

I want to be able to do the sparkle trail with realistic gravity effects etc.

I am working with V6, I have the Spicemaster effects, and Bluff Titler, and I have downloaded the Particle Illusion SE Demo...

Since I do not do much animation. I am not really wanting to fork out the money for PI. (I would need the transparency to bring it into my project, SE does not offer that)

I have played with BT, but I am looking for something a little more automatic, i.e. not having to change the gravity/trail settings at each keyframe.

Any ideas? Thanks

Transparency isn't absolutely necessary. You can render it in PI SE with a black background, then composite it in Vegas using either the Lighten or Add modes. The choice of which mode probably depends on how bright the sparkles are compared to the background behind them. Some tweaking between these modes and the opacity of the sparkles should produce an acceptable result.

Particle Illusion is probably by far the easiest method to achieve what you're after. If you can't get the demo to produce what you need, perhaps you could send me that part of the clip that needs it and i could send back a few different variations of sparkles for you to try.

Chien,

Thanks!! Worked like a charm...didn't even cross my mind to go that route.

I use PI for transparency effects all the time. Just specify a record format that supports alpha (I use PNG).
