Well after several - most likely 40-50 times - I've stumbled on a solution to this irksome/annoying little "feature".
When you select K/Fs with a Drag mouse procedure don't go from Right to Left - go from Left to Right. Done this 5 times and it works! No crashing out . . . I suppose if I was to think about K/Fs are dependant on their relative positions to each other AND that those are prior to others are in a time sequence. Selected the "wrong" way round gets V4's underwear in a twist. Selecting from left to right ensures I'm selecting in the correct time sequence.
I thought I could select these diamonds as I select text Word or anything text based . . this isn't the case . . .
