TIP: Naming a Font!

Inspired by a thread, "elsewhere", in terms of a User needing to "name-that-font" I went and discovered this website that takes you through the process of identifying a Font from a series of dead easy questions!

Try it out. Click on the "Identify" button. If you aren't successful, at the very least it is really good fun!! http://www.identifont.com/Identifont - Good Kama![/link]

also a great way to find a font if you have a specific idea in your head and don't know what to use.

Excellent find, thanks.

I believe there's another site that'll find a font by you uploading a bitmap of the font. Never tried it myself and sorry, don't have a link to it.

Two Thank Yous in one day!

I kind of like the Q&A method as more often than not it's near impossible to get a 'clean' sample of the font.

One day I'll pull me digit out and buy a font manager, I've got a collection that's quite unmanageable and many of dubious origin.

I stumped it! :) I'm guessing the Quake font isn't in their database.

but since we're on the topic of fonts...

You can make your own fonts. Free. Copyright you. Well, free until a certain # of free ones are given away, but it IS awesome!
