rch, you mean to say that the loudness of your background audio for menu is louder than the program audio of a program that plays when a menu item is selected - OR is it really the same volume on your playback as the rest of the disc - you would just prefer it not be so much?????????
The real trick here is to produce all of your audio sourcing with one app - most likely VegasPro but could be other good audio programs.
Then with all audio sourced through the same app - you can work to achieve the right balance for menu audio versus program audio with appropriate tools (audio volume envelope -most likely in VegasPro.)
The DVD I created contains two videos which were rendered in Vegas Studio. Once in Architect I presume I no longer have control over the audio (music track) in the video clips. For my DVD title page I added background audio. When playing the DVD the background audio is noticeably louder than the audio from either of the two video clips.
I suppose I could go back to Studio and re-render the video clips with increased audio levels (as Arthur suggested?) to more closely match that of the current DVD background audio but I was hoping to simply tone down the DVD background audio in Architect. Apparently, Architect does not offer this capability.
Or, as Steve had suggested, use an external audio app (e.g. Audacity) to create a replacement background audio clip with a reduced audio level.
No rch, do what my post suggested just above your last message, bring your audio in the Vegas editor (it works on video and audio just the same -it is an editor for either) . You must try to achieve balance with the menu audio with the imported DVD track audio by editing with the same editor - otherwise you have no idea how to balance the audio levels.
