Title Text Won't Change

I'm using the Text FX for a title, along with a 3D flyin. All worked well. A few days later, I tried to change the text. The video FX generator shows the new text, but previewing from the timeline always shows the old text. The area has not been prerendered, and I've cleared all prerendered files just in case. I've tried closing Vegas and reopening the file but it didn't help. Might it have something to do with the 3D flyin? I'm using Vegas 4d.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Did you copy another text section? If so, did you select 'refer to original' in the dialog when you copy/pasted? If so, the original media determines the media through out each copy of the original. Or, if you used a preset, the preset determines the activity unless you changed the media following the preset. The transition you used has no effect on what the text can say or doesn't say.

Might be a keyframe issue - the new text is on a keyframe at the end while the original text is on another keyframe.

Might be 2 events, one on top of another ?

SPOT, Udi, thanks for your quick replies. I did not copy text or use a preset. However, I am using keyframes for animating the completed flyin text. Sorry, I forgot to mention this is my question. I'll check it out.

Udi, thanks for pointing me to keyframes. I had an extra keyframe on the timeline and didn't see until I moved my desired keyframe out of the way. Problem solved.
