If they're all in a row butted together ... select all of them, press G to group them, then Ctrl-drag the end of the last one out to the right.

That's a brilliant answer. I tried this and it works beautifully. It seems groups can even be created on DIFFERENT tracks too. So even if the titles are on different tracks and EVEN if there are other events in-between, this method can work. The only thing effected by the Ctrl-drag is the group. So the titles don't need to be in a row. Then if you UNGROUP, each title remains the new length but can be modifed without effecting the others in the former group. I say again, brilliant answer.
