Titler Pro 3 Surprise

FilmvsDigital wrote on 6/14/2018, 1:08 AM

Have project with many .veg (14) files.    Fired up one that has been working, well, forever. Took an unusually long time loading and, at the end of the trail, got the following nasty surprise: "Error: The Titler Pro process failed. The process for Titler Pro failed unexpectedly. Please make sure your graphics card has an up to date driver, then restart your video editing software. If that does not resolve the issue, restart your PC." Well, none of the above resolves the issue. Driver not update since Jan. by vendor (Quadro P2000) and restarts, shutdowns no effect. Assuming last Windows update broke TP 3. Reluctant to try roll back so checking to see if anyone else has experienced this issue and, if so, what the fix is. TIA. P.S. have opened NB support ticket also.

The last update did update my video card. I always roll it back to the version that I know works for me.

Reinstalled TP3, no joy. Backed out all the Win Updates that affected the system (not products), no joy. Started Veg 14 w and w/o GPU accel, no joy. Downloaded trial Title Pro 6. No Joy. While messing around, I accidentally got things to work. Hmmmm, retrace steps to learn....TP3 or TP6 fired up in blank project followed by loading of "real" project seems to prevent video card error. Will monitor this approach and report back.

OK, so loaded TP3 into blank project, then loaded "real" project. Saved project and it now seems to not error out when starting veg 14 anew and simply loading "real" project. Will continue monitoring...
