Thanks for posting Edward, much appreciated.

Very nice improvements, work very well so far.

I really wish the update setups would not ask for the serial number and would know which directory I had the last version installed in. I had to search through my storage room to find the same serial number I had entered when I originally installed the Titler Pro and every time since, whenever a new update came up.

And I see NewBlue FX is still not putting version numbers on their web page, even for UPDATES like this one. Even the downloadable file name has no way of identifying what version it is? Does anyone else find this really confusing and frustrating? The only way I know it's a new build is from jetdv's post, but the link given looks like the same exact page as yesterday...as a month ago! How are we supposed to know the difference?

Does NOT work here.

I am on win7-64bit-SP1, Vegas Pro build 595 and nVidia driver 285.62.

Cannot open the title in an existing project and cannot create a new title.

Last version that worked for me with this exact setup was build 111213.

Have submitted ticket to New Blue.

Sorry but instant crash on copy/paste FX. Exactly the same as before.
Once i read "Improved copy/paste reliability" my hopes were up.

I had one problem with Titler Pro: if I tried to do anything with the paragraph holder (move it around the screen, for example), Vegas would freeze. I had to click on the Library Tab first and let the computer populate the library section. Then, and only then, I could go back to the paragraph section and make changes. But this latest version fixes the last of my problems with Titler Pro. As far as I can tell right now, it is working rock solid for me.

why, oh why do i have to remember my serial number!?

and really, NO version numbers - that's simply stupid. what on earth is the logic behind it?

and out of curiosity, prior to updating i checked to see if clicking check for update worked (in the LAST release). it didn't.

all in all it seems a very poor show on newblue's part, but then again, apart from their initial offerings, their latest seem to be very problematic.

On support's advice, updated nVidia driver to the latest - 296.10.

Did not fix problem with latest build, but now the one build that worked - 111213 - now does not.

Folks! Beware before updating anything...

I tried NVidia driver 296.10 and it didn't work for me. I moved back to 295.73. It works fine for me.

Worth a shot, I guess.
Will update when I've installed it.
Tom

update: No go with the 295.73 driver. Same issue. However, installing NBT build 111213, I can open an existing project's title, but cannot create a new one.

Getting more solid all the time for me. nVidia has a new beta driver 301.24 out some of you may try.

Keep up the improvements.

I am running the 296.10 driver with NBTP build 120402.
Have been testing it further and like I mentionned earlier, so far so good.

Works really well for me, smooth interpolation is much better, aliasing is better also, will be using NBTP from now on.

Regarding the build numbers not showing up and the installer asking for a serial, well I'd rather have them spend their time fixing bugs and adding improvements like they did on this build.....

@monoparadox
@ RoS

What build of VP11 are you guys using?
Tom
monoparadox wrote on 4/10/2012, 10:34 PM
Tom, I'm running 595 on both a laptop and desktop.
Leee wrote on 4/10/2012, 11:34 PM
Well, I'm pleasantly surprised. The new update worked without any crashes during the half hour I used it. That might not seem like a very long time, but considering that all my other NewBlue plugins don't work at all (both original and GPU accelerated versions), I'd say it's a good step in the right direction.

@jetdv, will Titler Pro be included in future Vegas releases, or is it bundled for free only with Vegas 11?

Paul, the copy/paste changes are inside of Titler - not in Vegas copying instances of Titler.
jetdv wrote on 4/12/2012, 10:34 AM
Jerry, Titler Pro is bundled with Vegas Pro 11. I cannot say what will be bundled with Vegas Pro 12 as that does not yet exist! :-)

Working on a project that could benefit from Titler Pro, but it keeps crashing Vegas.
Tried to download the updated version but it tells me there is an error, even though I am pasting in the correct serial number.
Have contacted NewBlue, but no response yet.
Frustrating.
jetdv wrote on 4/12/2012, 1:34 PM
Dan, I have seen no message from you. You need to enter the serial number Sony sent you.

Installed new Titler, now get red renders (output all red); and - for the first time - Vegas actually crashes.

A number of posts have alleged that we are VP beta testers. I now think we're alpha (version) testers.

I just received a reply to a support ticket for one problem whereby I get sporadic diagonal lines while rendered (like the old TV sets used to get when the horizontal sync was out of adjustment). Doesn't happen with 'preview'.
SCS's suggestion was 'Render with CPU-only' Comical, as I clearly stated in my original ticket post that that is one of the fist items I tried, among MANY.

Something is really amiss with SCS development. Perhaps they had key s/w engineers leave the company. This is quite disappointing.

Steve:

Double check your video card settings and make sure a setting is not turned off. I was having the red issue on my laptop using some BCC effects and Titler was crashing. Discovered it had a 3d setting turned off even though it was a newer nVidia card.
