Titles

Can someone recommend a good 3D Titling program for a beginner? I find Vegas is a little limiting in its 3D Titling/FX. I'm looking for a program that can be picked up fairly quickly and then I can go from there.

I was looking into India Titler, but I guess they got bought out by Apple. Don't know if they are still going to support Windows. :) Does Boris RED do 2D titles too? Any other 2D suggestions?

i just did the coolest title of my life last week
this past july 4th i filmed fireworks---
i put the text on the screen
then i put the fireworks inside the text--it looked like electricity was inside the text
it was really cool
i was psyched
