TITLES AND LOWER THIRDS / OTHER GEOMETRICAL S

I know that Ultimate S 2.0 has built in several lower thirds and the capability to animate these. But my questions are:

1. Does anyone have any recommendations about (other) stand alone programs and / or plug-ins to Vegas that can produce titles and lower thirds or titles combined with other geometrical shapes than lower thirds? I’m not interested in the “pro” stuff, with “thousands” of built in background picture. An example: Does BluffTitler, Heroglyph and Cayman Graphics have lower thirds and other geometrical shapes that don’t fill the whole frame?

2. It takes time (and creative skills) to produce lower thirds on your own. Does anyone know were to buy ready made lower thirds and other geometrical shapes that can make my titles and / or (introduction to separate parts of my) videos more “interesting”, if you understand what I mean? I’m not interested in very fancy stuff, just simple and “clean” backgrounds (lower thirds and other geometrical shapes).

Joran

PS Excuse me if my English isn’t that good in expressing what I really want.

Digital Juice and Artbeats make great lower thirds.
Heroglyph, Bluff don't really do this, Cayman Graphics does.
Digital Hotcakes has a package, and I believe PixelPops does now, too. Studio 1 has some, a few are really nice. Elite Video has some, but they are kinda cheezy, IMO.
Google "Lower Thirds" or "Caption Bars" and you'll find lots of options. Some are costly, others are not.
Ultimate S also has 2 additional libraries, with 2 more soon coming, that can plug into the 55 that come with the application.

Thank you DSE

I will purchase Ultimate S 2.0 within a few days. (I’m testing it now.) My reason for asking is that I think there is so (too!) much “fancy” stuff out there – that I don’t like. I just want some “simple” effects (backgrounds) coupled with my text / titles and “transitions” from one main part of my videos to the next. (I’m looking forward to see the content of your two new libraries.)

You can make a lot just with Vegas, not that I want to give away all the secrets of the Lower Thirds Club but here's an idea. Just use generated media on a track above your video, use a graduated fill, use event pan / crop to squash it into place and the add your text on yet another track above that. Certainly nothing overly fancy but heck it's free.
Also if you have PhotoShop I've found quite a few tutorials on making many 3D looking objects using that and applying a little imagination one can use the same techniques to make 3D metallic backgrounds to use as lower thirds. Combine those with some compositing in Vegas and job done.
