There are three ways to do this:
1. Use keyframer in Title tool (not advised)
2. Use keyframes and Pan/Crop toop to pull the "camera" away from the title. this will work well at the event level.
3. Use keyframes and the Track Motion Tool to push the video backwards.
4 (OK, I said three) you could also put a long transition on the text, using the zoom transition.

And also, when you use pan/crop or track motion, if you want the movement to be consistent from beginning to end, change the "smoothness" setting to zero.

Spot, I am probably confused on this, but isn't there a resolution issue when using track motion to "zoom?" I can't remember now, but I thought this applied either when using generate media (like titles) or higher resolution media (like still photos). As I remember, in these instances, using pan/crop at the event level would zoom in on the original media, whereas doing the same thing at the track level would zoom in on the media which had already been sampled to 720x480. If you do it with video, it doesn't matter because the media is already at the same resolution as the project.

The way around this is to set the text to the size at the end of the zoom, then pull back for the beginning of the move.
