titles repeating themselves

Sometimes when I put in a new title (text) in a project and then put in a completely new one (no copy and pasting) further in the project, previous titles will change to the second one.
Anyone know why this happens and how I can prevent this from happening?

I've never heard of this happening .. but to help us .. how do you add the text to the project?

I ask this because there are at least two ways to do this .. and maybe more. The way you add the text *may* (or may not) have something to do with your problem.

I have seen this. It is a bug I think, or something obvious I am missing. It doesn't always happen though. Just recreate the text element.

Could it be that the titles have been created as Copy and Paste and "Create a reference to the original media" ? because this will have the described effect.
