Titles & Text font bug STILL unfixed in Vegas13

I reported a couple of problems in Titles and Text over a year ago.
SCS #130313-000005 on 3/13/2013
SCS #130325-000096 on 3/25/2013

My report dates go back over 1 year and who knows when they were first reported.

Both these reports were acknowledged as...
"This is a known issue set to be resolved in a future update of the application. Thank you for reporting this issue. "

So what is Sony commitment to fixing problems?

I think a year is more than a reasonable timeframe even for complicated or dangerous fixes. By dangerous I mean a fix can easily break existing stuff, and therefore needs extra QC time.

The problems were fonts not showing up in Titles and Text, but did show in Legacy text and Protype and NewBlue titler pro.

The other was some fonts showing but the wrong font seems to show in the preview window when the correct font is in the T&T user interface window.

In my case the problem fonts, are all Adobe fonts installed by Photoshop. They are OpenType fonts with postscript outlines. My TrueType fonts or OpenType fonts with TrueType outlines seem to work.

I've noticed this issue with Movie Studio 12 text and title.

I thought everyone but me on this forum hated & refused to use the built in text generators with Vegas? :)

I use them. They do a good job of providing static text, ideal for simple titling. Pro Type Titler made titling too complex, the newer titlers are resource hogs, and NBT v1 was so unstable as to be totally useless (as well as demanding a GPU).

In fact, NBT was so poor it's put me off any offering from NewBlue.

Bluff Titler would be my choice for animated, fancy titling

T&T is my GoTo text tool. Simple UI, uses the preview window well. For basic simple plain text it is quick and easy.

For anything else I use NewBlue Titler Pro for the fancy visual styles and the animation. Previously I used NBTP 2 and now I have V3.

NewBlue had recently moved Titler Pro out into a separate process/program from Vegas to get away from the messy GPU implementation context that is Vegas. They say it solved their conflicts inside Vegas.
