titling question

Is there a "easier" Titling Program that i can use in conjunction with SF Vegas Video. I seem to have a difficult time with titles and thought maybe there is some aftermarket product i can use to do titles and import them back into Vegas Video with a Black background?

Any Suggestions would be of great help!!

Thanks.

Hey, Rook, there are other programs . . . I've used Pinnacle's Studio programs which include there Title Deiko . . . works really well. You'd first have to purchase their program (StudioDV for between $60 and $100 if still available . . . or it's next generation Studio 7).

An excellent titling setup, but, you'll have to create your titles in that program, render to avi, then import into Vegas.

There was a time, not too long ago, when I would have agreed with you that VV's titling left a lot to be desired. However, if you download the latest version, I think you will find that, while not exactly as intuitive as Pinnacle's Title Deiko, VV's titling abilities are every bit as (if not more) flexible.

VV's addition of "freeform" placement of the title was the kicker that won me over.

If, after creating your title, you click on the timeline at the point that includes that title, you can preview it over the underlying video. Freeform allows you to click on the title and move it wherever you like and see the results within your video frame.

Doesn't get much simpler than that.

Took me a while (and more than a few forum message exchanges) to sort out scrolling titles, but, now, even that is working.

Go for the Pinnacle stuff if you like (it is good), but, if I were you, I'd explore the messages on this forum or post many more of your own until you master the VV titling capabilities. I doubt you'll have any need for more after that.

Good luck.

Hope this helps.
