TMPGENC and Vegas Video

Recently loaded this encoder -- and then Vegas Video 2.0H would not function. Projects would load about 45% and then error out. I am in the process of removing all traces of Sonic's products and will reload. Hopefully, this will "fix" the problem. Anyone else have this happen? If so, is there a permanent fix?

Running Windows 2000 on a Compaq E-500 laptop with 256 RAM.

What error do you get? Is it to do with memory? I have that error, and programs similar to (although not actually) TMPGEnc installed. I can't load any project files in Vegas Video.

Basically, I can not load any existing veg file. The program just errors out -- with no reason given. I totally reloaded the program and it seems to work on most files.

Hi guys,

I'm using TMPGenc to take divx files to mpeg1 for VCD burns, and also to encode from divx to mpeg2. I had very poor performance out of the newer update they have available and went back to the previous version. This was suggested from www.vcdhelp.com. I've had no problems at all in Vegas Video 2.0h with tmpgenc and the divx codec on my machine.

Anyone else have any input?
