Working in VEGAS PRO 14. As briefly stated in the title, My FX bypass button is on the correct setting. I can use it in conjunction with this problem and still A/B pre and post FX changes.
My scenario: I wanted to color correct a video just a touch, so I added color corrector like I have so many times before and attempted to make changes to the settings, but I saw no difference. I checked that the FX bypass was indeed not in use and toggled it to some different settings just to make sure that it wasn't set funny. It seems to be working just fine and will toggle FX changes on and off.
I decided to close the tool and see if there was any change and there was! My changes took effect as I closed the FX settings window for the track (these are track FX not event FX). I opened the tool up and made some changes and saw no difference, so I closed it again and the changes took effect.
I rebooted the software and there was no change. I rebooted the machine and there was no change. I did several searches and watched several videos that just told me that checking the FX bypass button would fix all my woes, but this is not true. I searched through the settings and didn't see anything about FX working in the preview window while the tool was up. I did not look through the advanced settings as I don't like to tinker in there unless I know what I am looking for.
My worry is that this is an easy problem that I don't know what keywords to search for are. My hope is that is an easy problem, but don't know what keywords to search for. I hope someone has run into this before and has a solid answer.
To apply changes to FX I must first close the tool?
