Hello Sony.

You have said:

"If changing the brand of media doesn't help, then create a small test project that
exhibits the problem on your Sony DVP-NS330 and we'll provide you with an ftp site

for upload"

To this thread of mine :

As you said I have tested the project by burning it to a "Sony DVD+R " Media.

But still the subtitle problem occurs while playing the DVD on the
"Philips DVD 751"

set-top player.

The subtitle is stuck or dosent work at all.
( The audio and video works fine)

I have also tested it on "Sony DVP-NS330" and "Windows media player 9"
There no problem occurd.

There is nothing wrong with my "Philips 751"

It even plays comercial DVD's with subtitle, full with scratches.

The thing that I am really worried about is this:

I am going to make about 500 copies of this DVD.

And if these DVD's don't play on more Philips DVD set-tops I got a Big problem.

Because 50 % people here has a Philips DVD set-tops.

I have a zipped "Project.dar" ( 45 kb) file which I am willing to send you.

Please reply here, or sent me an email how to send it to you.

For what it's worth, I do not know the answer to your problem but I have had real troubles with *some* models of Philips DVD players.

These were issues that were only exihibited on some Philips models. Other players did not exhibit the issues at all.

Just FYI...

It is really strange, I thought that the subtitle system was a kind of a "Standard", how can one dvd player play it and the other not?

Because this does not occur with comercial DVD's...
