Tone Down Green Screen

We've shot a piece against a green screen that originally was to have a chroma key background. Because of other issues, we've decided just to keep the green screen as the background.

Although this will work, I'd like to tone down the green a bit. Is there a technigue that will allow me to decrease the brightness of this particular color, without affecting everthing else?

Thanks!

try the Secondary Color Corrector filter...if the fotage is properly lit, it should be fairly simple to choose the background color range and then change the hue, brightness, etc..

You could use the chroma key, as you originally planned, but then use it to substitute a "friendlier" color/intensity of green for the original green color.

The secondary color corrector is probably all you need, however.

I was thinking the same thing, replace the background with the chroma keyer like you had planned on doing and simply replace it with the color of your choice. If it's as well-lit as you say it is it should work ok.
