Too Many Activations Issued

I've already talked to Dave Hill about this, but has anyone
else had trouble registering their Vegas program? I've
installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled Vegas numerous
times on my 3 home computers, and since versions 2.0b and
later REQUIRE that you must register with your serial
number, I've had to register a lot of times. Eventually I
got to the point where I guess my key has had too many
registrations issued against it, because I get an error
message simply saying that Vegas could not complete my
request because "Too many activations have been issued."
Has anyone else encountered this? I personally hate this
feature because it's a pain in the ass for those of us who
are constantly moving around their computers and the
software on them.

If it's any consolation, I have the same problem. I'm
waiting for the support people to return my emails
regarding this, but until then, I'm just using my older
version.

I'm in a similar situation. Contantly reinstalling Windows 2000 and moving stuff around. Now I can't install
Vegas because of the 'too many activations issued' error.

I've been sending letters to customer support, technical support, and sales since March 9th without even one
response as of now (March 21st). If anyone has any information about this, please reply.

I've had this trouble with Acid and Vegas Video. I just
called Sonic Foundry and got in touch with someone over the
phone in the register area and he gladly increased my
numbers or whatever he does so I could register it again.

We reserve the right to ask for proof-of-purchase if a user
has exceeded the activation count or has multiple users
registering the same copy.

Rest assured it'll never be a problem getting more
activations for continued legitimate installations, as
defined in the user license agreement you accepted during
installation. No worries.

You will be contacted directly via email regarding this.
