firstly, apologies for this post, i do not know ehere else to post (this is the most popular forum).

my problem is that i want to buy sonic foundy's '1,001 sound effects' sound library. I cannot find anywhere in the UK that sells it, including amazon.com (&.co.uk). I went to buy from sonicfoundry.com, and the shipping is twice the cost of the library!

has anyone got any suggestions...

The sound effects library is not all that big of a deal. Most of the sounds, or some similar to them, are on sites like:

http://www.media-tracks.com/soundeffects.asp

and

http://wavcentral.com/

These sights all allow you to download the files directly so if you're looking for something specific it may be on one of these sites.
