track bleeding when recording

When I record a new track all the other tracks record onto mt new track. Even the metronome records onto my new track if I am using it. How can i get it to stop?

Check the mixer program that comes with you sound card. Sounds like somehow your mixing your outputs to your inputs either internally in the sound card. Or check that your not mixing in the output to your inputs through your external sound board.
