Track EQ mystery

I decided to uninstall Vegas 5 now that 6.0d no longer hangs on long renders. To my surprise, when opening a project in V6 I now got a prompt that a plug-in, Track EQ, was missing.

"Fixed" this by re-installing Vegas 5.0d. What gives? I can notify support but just curious if anyone else hit this issue?

Can you fix it by reinstalling 6.0b instead?

Took a few days to come back to this, but when I have time to take out 5.0 again, I'll try that. I wondered if there might be a change under the hood between update versions.
