4 and 6 on the numbad will move by 1 pixel
1 and 3 will move by 1 frame

7 and 9 will select either edges for keyboard trimming (using 4/6 or 1/3)

This moves the cursor for me, but not the event that's selected. Could I be doing something wrong or have something set incorrectly? btw, I have version 5.

no. However, I am using a editing keyboard for Sony Vegas. When I select a event and press the keys described above, only the cursor moves. I would expect the entire event selected to move.

That's what will happen when numlock is OFF - you will get the arrow keys and end and "PageDown", etc...

With numlock ON, you get "1", "2", "3".... then it will behave as you desire.

Vegas also has a mapable keyboard feature. Goto OPTIONS>PREFERENCES>KEYBOARD, and most every action in Vegas can be mapped to a key of your choice. One other note about the Numeric 4 & 6 keys. These don't nudge per pixel, the nudge amount actually depends on how far you are zoomed in. I requested awhile back as a feature suggestion that Vegas somehow displays the nudge amount since it varies with the zoom level. We'll see in V6 if that suggestion got remembered/noted.

Red, I think it does nudge per pixel, but the amount of movement represented by a pixel will of course vary depending on the zoom. I agree that it would be nice to know how far this is at any given time.

Num Lock did the trick. For some reason I was reading num lock but, turning on cap lock. Thanks for all your help.
