Track FX Pre- Post-Fader

I could have sworn (and may have :-) that I once got a
property to appear that allowed me to choose if an FX or FX
chain was to be Pre or Post-Fader. I cannot track it down
anywhere in the printed manual or in Help and I have right-
clicked in the effect dialogs until I'm blue in the nails.

OK, Uncle. Is there a way to assign Pre and Posr Fader to
effects? Is there some other place where a dialog/property
box appears which such an option?

Any help appreciated.

PS. I'm at the end of a mixdown of a live 8 channel
recording for CD using only Vegas Audio 2.0b, Sound Forge
4.5h and CD Architect. I am very pleased with what can be
accomplished without leaving the 'digital domain.'

Hail, Pericles-

1) Freeze frame: select the frame you want, create a 1-
second duration, render to new track as "NTSC DV". Change
this new event's properties to progressive and it will
behave like a still. (This is one way to do it -we don't
save still formats in Vegas but you can copy an image to
the clipboard from the Vegas video preview window and save
as bmp/tga/psd etc if you want to use another app

2)Import an image sequence: Set prefs/editing/new still
image length to 1 frame. Add all image sequence files to
the media pool, sort by creation date, select all in
sequence, drag/drop to desired timeline location. You might
also group them so they'll be timelocked (easily moved
around)

The nicest thing about vegas is that it translate like
windows in functionality. That being wherever your cursor
is, you can hit the "right click" or your mouse and a menu
will appear for whatever your cursor is over. That being
said, just put your cursor over the fader send of a track
and then right click on the fader and a "Pre Volume/Post
Volume" menu will appear.

For a quick test I loaded a two channel .WAV into Vegas
Video 2.0 (all I have on the machine I'm using) applied a
couple FX to the track then right clicked over the track
fader. Nothing appears there. I do get options if I click
further off the fader. Record is not armed.

At this time I have only one bus, A, for output. In case I
was missing something, I tried right-clicking over the
faders for the bus and even the preview mix.

I opened up the track height to see if there were any
control being hidden, but I don't see any. Is there any
place I might have set a pref to defeat this?

PS. The right-click to expose properties of an object goes
back to DOS. I heard Philippe Kahn (Borland) espouse the
idea and later it was put in their spreadsheet, Quattro.
That was a really kick-butt product.

So you can't even see the FX send slider? Well that is
strange then. Can you see the pan? If you can see the pan
slider, then you need to left click on the word "PAN" and
the drop down menu for the FX sends are listed and then you
can select the FX slider you want. If you can't see the
pan, then I'm not sure what's wrong. Try dragging the
right side of the track sliders and expanding it well over
across your screen and see if the pan appears then. If
should appear next to the volume slider when you do that.
If that doesn't work, then I'm wondering what your video
card setting are for your display.
