@alderny - Hi there! Do you have the “other” Event Selected whilst changing the Target Event? Do you have By Pass All FXs in the Drop down menu? And yes, if it’s not your setup, this is very odd behaviour. User expectations would be for non-linked changes.
The issue is caused by adding the Track FX after the Composite in your upper track. Move the Composite after all the Track FX in your upper track.
Always take care to add your Track FX before the Composite (just like you did in your lower track) unless you really need the Track FX to work after the Composite.
Have you tried switching graphic processing off and doing a programme reset?
I have just switched off the graphics (Preferences, Video tab, GPU acceleration of video processing - requires restart) and that made no difference.
By programme reset, do you mean going to each tab in in the preferences dialogue and pressing the 'Default All' button? I'm reluctant to do this as I will lose all of my settings, unless I do a screenshot first, or if they are held in a file that I can back up.
Well, that's something new and useful I've learnt tonight. It also applies to VMS. Fortunately by default when you add an FX to a track it goes in before Composite so normally the problem wouldn't arise.
