Transfer audio file to MP3

I have a video clip of a band performance, one song, about 2 minutes. I would like to use the audio portion only of this clip, and somehow save it so that I can load the music onto my MP3 player.

Can someone explain how this could be done or direct me to an appropriate forum to locate this information?

Select just that portion of the timeline. Go to render (make movie / advanced, maybe?), choose MP3 as the file type, and make sure you check the box labeled "render loop region only".

Since my post, I discovered a .wav file saved on my hard drive. I opened it in WMP and it played fine. I may be able to load it right to the player from there as well.

At any rate, I printed your instructions to tuck in my owner's manual.
