My situation is tricky. In order for me to print anything from vegas to vhs, i need to go first through my dv camcorder, then use its analog video out to video in as well as analog audio out to audio in of my VCR deck. I don't have any hardware to go directly from vegas to my vcr deck.

The program is over one hour and my camcorder only takes 60 minute tapes. Must I hit the record button in my camcorder to get this to work, or can I just use some kind of preview mode in vegas?

i really need yoru guys help -- thanks very much!!!

Hmm... SO you are saying you have to print everything to your DV camcorder, then rewind it all, hook it up to the VCR, then play back and record onto the VCR? Does your DV cam have the capability to play right through to the VCR at the same time you playback (or preview the rendered file) on the DV cam?? For example... Before you print to tape, hook up your analog outs to the VCR, and your 1394 cable to the DV deck from the computer... Thats how mine is set up. It playd from the PC, to the DV cam, then the DV cam's analog outs work at the same time going into my VHS VCR if I need a quick copy of that and dont want to waste any DV tape.. (or digital8 in my case) What kind of camera are you using?

Okay, I'll try that - I have a SONY PD150A DVCAM camcorder.

I want to do all the crossfades, titling and everything first though.

Thanx ARKS00.
