Transfer of capture bins to media pool

Having captured video and audio files. I created bins using the Vegas capture utility to orginize the project.
1. How do I transfer those bins to the project media pool?
2. After the transfer of the capture bins to the media pool if I double click the bin will I see only those files associated with that bin in the media pool?

Right click on a bin in video capture, choose "add to media pool". Bin moves to Vegas.

Related question: how do I stop all those thumbnails from appearing/accumulating in the capture program media bins? I already have thumbs of all my clips in the media pool for the appropriate veg in Vegas. Now whenever I load the capture utility I have to wait for all the little thumbs to load. How can I stop this (insanity), since I can't do anything with them anyway in the capture app. Most importantly, can I delete the thumbnails in the capture utility without effect on the media pools in my Vegas vegs? Also, what is the purpose of the "defaultvidcap' file and how can I change it so those thumbs don't keep building up.

In either Vegas or Vidcap, set your view to list or detail and thumbnails will not be displayed. I personally never use thumbnails-I'd much rather have at text view.

The video capture project file is independent of the Vegas project file- this lets you access your capture datbase(s) in different Vegas projects. Note that, even if the vidcap project file gets blown away/lost/overwritten, you can still recapture missing DV media from any Vegas project.
