Transfer speed..

Hi,
would like some comments as to transfer speed when capturing DV PAL.
After a capture the dialog box says :

capture succesfull
transfer speed average 3.5Mb/sec...is that good or bad?
If bad, what can I do to improve it ?

PIII 1.2G Intel processor, 256 RAM dedicated HD 7200RPM

As long as you didn't drop any frames, your transfer speed is not going to increase by making your hardware better. DV over Firewire runs at 1x rate, period. There are no "faster than realtime" devices yet. Someday, maybe.
