transition media

After days of chasing my tail and trying to find the answer within the manual, it's time to pose the question here.

I have a menu based project.

I have successfully set my Introduction Media which ends on my Main Menu.
I have 3 buttons that each go to a Sub-Menu, and I am trying to set the button action to play a Transition Media Clip before arriving at the Sub-Menu.

The hard copy quick start manual doesn't say how to do it and I've tried following the help file but to no avail.

I have managed to place my Transition Media in the Root Folder and have set it's End Action to go to the Sub-Menu, but I just can't seem to link the Button to actually play it when it is clicked. It may have something to do with my Button Action Properties being "greyed out", so I can't actually select any link. Any idea why this is.

Hopefully someone has some solutions to this problem,

Thanks,

TeeJay

Sadly, you're not allowed to change the destination for a button that was originally created for a sub-menu. You have a couple options:

1. Insert a Page instead of a Sub-Menu. You can edit the destination for a Page.

2. Do neither of the above, but instead drag your transition media to the menu and give it the text name and/or thumbnail you want to use to indicate the menu you're going to.

Then follow the steps you're already using.

Thanks alot for the quick reply Rob,

I tried your 2nd option and it seems to work for me. I'll continue buliding my menu and create a disc to see if it does everything that I want it to.

Cheers,
